About Me

FRANK
I am a painter of long experience hoping to be considered an artist in my lifetime. It amazes me what wierd gene makes me see my world the way I do. Historically, I won my first art contest in kindergarden, my second in fifth grade and another in high school. Got married after 2 years at college, had 3 kids, divorced and remarried, had another daughter, finished my BFA, did lots of painting, then retired and opened an art gallery, where I still paint. I have learned several things since opening the gallery. On the positive side, I always have a spot for my own paintings, and I have met many interesting people, both clients and artists. On the negative side, I've learned that some artists are real jerks who do litle but complain. I also realized that running a business takes a lot more time and energy than I thought, and mainly that I'd rather paint. That about sums it up. Of course lots of other stuff happened along the way, some successes, some not so much. But it all effects the way I paint, what I paint, and what I hope to convey. In the end life is what you make of it.
